2011 Outer Banks Photo Contest Sponsored by Village Realty, the OBX Vacation Rental Experts

For the third consecutive year Village Realty is proud to sponsor the Outer Banks Photo Contest. The Grand Prize is a free off season week in an Outer Banks vacation rental home. There will also be category winners who will receive either a three night stay at a Village Realty home or condo, a two night stay at First Colony Inn Bed and Breakfast in Nags Head or one of several gift certificates to local restaurants, shops and events.
“For our first photo contest we received over 1,500 photos” says Jeannie Maynard, Marketing Manager for Village Realty. “In 2010 that number more than doubled to over 3,600 and we are hoping to have even more entries this year.” Village Realty will use these photos throughout the year in print ads, email campaigns, Facebook and on one of their websites including VillageRealtyOBX.com, PetFriendlyOBX.com and CurrituckClubRentals.com.
Categories to choose from are varied…from Best of the Beach, Kool Kids, Knock Our Socks Off Sunsets and Sunrises, Fluffy and Fido, The Corolla Wild Horses and more.
The last day to submit a photo or photos (you may enter as many times as you like) is September 23, 2011. A team of local photographers and Village Realty employees will choose the winners but first, Village Realty will allow their Facebook Followers to help determine the finalists. “We have a very interactive Facebook page” says Maynard “and many of our followers are past or future guests or people who just love the OBX, so we want them to be a part of this too.”
Village Realty has frequent giveaways via their Facebook page and recently held a “Mega Giveaway” which included a free off season week at the beach in a Village Realty property, a helicopter ride over the island and gift certificates to local restaurants. The giveaway changes almost weekly and in the past the prizes included massages, passes to the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama, jewelry, artwork and more. Village Realty on the Outer Banks manages over 600 vacation rentals and is known for “Exceptional Homes and Extraordinary Service”. Locally owned and managed, they were the first company on the OBX to provided bed linens and bath towels (and make the beds) for each house.
