(PRWEB UK) 8 December 2011

The figures show that in 2007, 62% of customers travelled by plane, by 2011 this figure had increased to 77%. The years between showed a steady rise, 72%, 76% and 76% respectively. Rod Jones, Director at EuroParcs, commented, “It clearly shows that more and more of our customers are choosing to fly than take the car on longer journey’s. We can assume that the increase is as a direct consequence of rising petrol pump prices.”

Speaking about an earlier report released by EuroParcs, Jones went on to add, “As we reported earlier in the year, holidays at Le Ruisseau saw an increase during the same period as more families choose to go camping in Biarritz as a value-for-money sunnier climes holiday destination.”

Ryanair currently serves the area with flights from London Stansted. The route’s popularity has lead to the ‘no-frills’ airline announcing a new route to Biarritz Airport from Manchester, thus opening a gateway to the South West of France from the North of England. The service from Manchester commences on the 25th of March 2012 and will be available for the Easter and Whitsun holiday periods.
